AbstractAbstract
[en] The Quality Assurance (QA) of fluoroscopy X-ray equipment is a key element of the patient radiation protection system. The routine performance Quality Control (QC) tests are helpful in identifying and evaluation of unwanted and unexpected changes in system performance which can lead to deterioration of image quality and no unjustifiable incensement of patient dose. The QA programme gives a potential for optimization of patient radiation protection. It can reveal the full potential of the equipment and improvement of its performance. Some practical physical methods and testing approaches applied to QA of the fluoroscopy equipment are presented. Results of their practical application are illustrated. Related key regulatory requirements are discussed. (author)
