AbstractAbstract
[en] Experiment on the effect of welding speed and geometry of electrodes tips, plate and pointed on the welding results of the zircaloy-4 fuel pin end cap in TIG welding has been done. Welding result from the same welding program for every welding speed and electrode shape, produced the same width of weld and HAZ, but with different weld depth. The welding speed influence the welding ampere stage position, the welding ampere and the weld depth on the one rotation welding tube. The welding speed on RPM 7,5; 8,5; and 9;5 for both plate and pointed electrode produced weld depth larger tube thick The welding speed of RPM 6,5; 5,5; and 4;5 for both plate and pointed electrode produced weld depth less than tube thick.The microstructure of the weld were relatively the same for every welding condition i.e. Widmanstaetten α phase forming parallel plate and basket weave.
