AbstractAbstract
[en] In this study, current status and future perspectives of nuclear policy of China, Russia and Japan were investigated in order to establish directions for future cooperation policy and strategies in the nuclear cooperation with Northeast Asian countries in the 21st centuries. And current status of these countries for international nuclear cooperation including Korea were investigated and major directions for national policy and strategies for the nuclear cooperation with these countries in the 21st centuries were also studied. It is expected that Northeast Asian countries, China, Russia, Japan and Korea become one of leading major economical active areas in the world and these nuclear big countries play leading roles in the 21st international nuclear communities through the large scale expansion of nuclear power, strengthening of nuclear R and D activities, extension and diversification of international cooperation. And cooperation with these countries in the use and development of nuclear under the international circumstances of tightening nuclear non-proliferation regime and nuclear safety regime in the northeast region become important and should be placed with high priority in the future nuclear cooperation. At the same time, multi-lateral nuclear cooperation in the Northeast Asian region becomes important in the 21st century considering various multi-lateral cooperation in field of energy and resources in the region and newly emerging issues such as energy security, nuclear security and other common nuclear issues
