AbstractAbstract
[en] This report discusses the content of a file submitted to the Environment Authority by the ITER Organization as a request for the creation of the ITER nuclear research installation in Cadarache. The fundamental and technological principles and objectives of the ITER project are presented. The countries who are members of ITER are indicated, as well as the history and timetable of the project. The different concerned procedures are indicated. The content of the impact study is discussed and commented, and more particularly impacts on the environment of the whole ITER program, impacts on health, impacts related to waste management, risk management, impacts on waters (rainfalls, used waters), impacts on biodiversity, and other impacts (on landscape, noise, urban planning). Recommendations are formulated to improve the content of the creation request file
