[en] Aim of this paper is to evaluate the short-term drought stress of selected ecotypes of beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) originating from contrasting climatic regions. The experiment was carried out by pot experiment lasting 51 days. 4-year-old beech seedlings were exposed to controlled irrigation system. During our experiment no statistically significant differences were confirmed between observed provenances by the drought stress. (authors)
