AbstractAbstract
[en] The base construction of the advanced TVSA fuel assemblies has been in operation at Kozloduy NPP WWER-1000 reactors since 2004. The TVSA assembly distinguishes itself with much stronger construction and using a mixture of uranium and uniformly distributed Gd as a burnable absorber in 6 or more fuel rods. The experience gained during TVSA fuel implementation on units 5 and 6 and KASKAD and HELHEX code packages validation was presented at the 8-th, 9-th and 10-th International Conference on WWER Fuel Performance, Modelling and Experimental Support in 2009, 2011 and 2013. This paper contains additional information about the experience of TVSA fuel implementation at the Kozloduy NPP. Neutron-physics characteristics for Unit 5, cycle 21 and Unit 6, cycle 20 calculated by KASKAD and HELHEX have been compared with relevant measured data. (authors)
