AbstractAbstract
[en] Removal of Cu"2"+ from aqueous solutions by natural Slovak bentonites was investigated using batch method and radiotracer technique, as a radiotracer was used "6"4Cu"2"+. Adsorption processes were modeled by Langmuir isotherm. The highest values of percentage for the Cu-adsorption on bentonites was achieved at the lowest concentration of the Cu"2"+ in solution. Cu-adsorption decreased with the increasing concentration of Cu"2"+ in solutions. Instead of equilibrium study, the influence of contact time and pH was investigated. Adsorption process is very fast, after first 15 min values of percentage for all bentonites were around 99 %. In the studied pH range (4 - 8), the Cu-adsorption was around 96 - 98 % and the values of percentage obtained at the various pH were not significantly changed. (authors)
