[en] The National Strategy for Spent Nuclear Fuel And Radioactive Waste envisions the real activities on the staged decommissioning of the Specialized Division Permanent Repository for Radioactive Waste, Novi Han to start after 20125.; The decommissioning will be performed by extracting RAW and sealed SIR from the storage facilities, processing, conditioning and placement in new containers in accordance with the criteria for admission to the NDF and to the future repository for RAW-category 2b and 3, removal of underground facilities and site remediation. The resulting radioactive waste will be stored in buffer storage facilities and will be transported to disposal facilities
