[en] The new complexes of transition metal with Schiff bases (derived from benzoylacetone and sulfathiazole or sulfamethoxypyridazine) have been synthesized. All compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, IR and 1HNMR spectra. The structures of the complexes have been proposed, which reveals that the complexes adopt different forms of dentation. The antioxidative action of Cu(Π) and Zn (Π) complexes (using hydroxyl radical and superoxide radical models) are better than that of the free ligands. (author)
