AbstractAbstract
[en] As the sensitivity of film scintillator to electrons is magnitudes higher than to gamma, detectors make use of film scintillator as radiation transformer suffered greatly from sub electrons produced by air dispersion. Energy deposited in the film scintillator while gamma incident vertically was simulated by MCNP program, under vacuum and with air respectively. It is found that the percentage of air interference increases with gamma energy, and increases while the film become thinner. The air interference was validated upon "6"0Co gamma source. Sensitivities of film scintillators with different thickness was measured with and without vacuum respectively, and the result agreed well with the theory. (authors)
