AbstractAbstract
[en] Based on the lead model age and the fact that Cu-Pb-Zn orbodies can be found controlled by carbonate of the ordovician Liuhuangshan Group, the Liuhuangshan Copper-polymetallic deposit used to be considered a stratabound one formed during Ordovician period. According to the fact that the quartz porphyry in the orefield is mineralized and the orebodies show gradual transition with the porphyry, the authors in this paper believe that the deposit should belong to a porphyry Cu-Pb-Zn polymetallic deposit. isotopic Chronological study shows that the fluid inclusion Rb-Sr isochron age (346 ± 30 Ma) of mineralized quartz veins is consistent with zircon U-Pb age (340 Ma - 360 Ma) of quartz porphyry in test errors, showing that diagenetic and mineralization events happened during Early Carboniferous to Late Devonian and the mineralization is temporospatially related to the porphyry.
