AbstractAbstract
[en] In this study, batch experiments were conducted to elucidate the adsorption of a widely used anionic surfactant (sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (SDBS)) and cation ion (Ni"2"+) on multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The adsorptions of Ni"2"+ and SDBS on MWCNTs were characterized by SEM, TEM, FT-IR and XPS, respectively. The spectroscopic analysis indicated that adsorption mechanism was mainly attributed to chemical interaction between the metal ion and the surface functional groups of MWCNTs and surface adsorbed SDBS.
