AbstractAbstract
[en] The quantum history approach is applied to investigate the first-photon emission of a quantum dot induced by propagating surface plasmons. The dynamics of the emission is described through the partitioning dynamics of a quantum system. The extended probability distribution which correspond to the photon emission rate is directly calculated. In the case that the Markov's approximation is satisfied, the well known double decay character of the first-photon emission is obtained accompanying with the analytic expression of decay amplitudes which has never been derived before. This is a merit of our approach which allows us to analytically investigate this interacting quantum system and goes beyond the master equation approach. (paper)
