AbstractAbstract
[en] It is well known that in-service performance of various structural components of nuclear reactor and allied plants is controlled by alloy chemistry and microstructure. While the alloy chemistry is primarily controlled by selection of raw materials and improvement in melting practices, microstructure is tailored by appropriate selection of fabrication route. In this presentation an attempt was made to highlight the efforts made at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre to enhance performance of selected Zr-alloys and ferritic steel components based on laboratory scale research and development activities.
