AbstractAbstract
[en] Ectopic thyroid is a thyroid dysgenesiswith an average prevalence of 1 in 200,000 people, female predominance, and lingual thyroid being the most common presentation of the ectopic tissue. This happens as a consequence of an error in the process of migration of the thyroid gland, which can be positioned at any location across the embryological pathway. We present three cases of ectopic thyroid: an asymptomatic pediatric patient with high cervical tumor corresponding to its unique thyroid gland, an adult female with dual ectopic thyroid glandswith dysphagia as the only symptom, and a male patient with a normal thyroid gland and ectopic thyroid tissue in the middle cervical region
