AbstractAbstract
[en] Electromagnetic proton form factors are reviewed, and the experimental results are presented and compared to available theoretical models. Future perspectives at different facilities using elastic electron proton scattering in the space-like region and the annihilation reactions p+p↔e"+e"- in the time-like region are summarized. Based on the existing data, the necessity for a global description of form factors in the full kinematical region is stressed. We describe an attempt of a physical interpretation of form factors in space-like and time-like regions. (author)
