AbstractAbstract
[en] LiZr_2(PO_4)_3 (LZP) belongs to NASICON family of compounds whose ionic conductivity can be tuned by substitution of different cations or by increasing temperature or pressure. Temperature dependent Raman spectroscopic studies were carried out on the monoclinic (β’) phase of LZP in the temperature range 298-853K. A reversible orthorhombic structural phase transition driven by disorder in lithium sites is observed at 603 K. Larger ionic conductivity for the orthorhombic structure at 650 K is explained to be due to a disordered distribution of lithium atoms at two independent sites (Li1 and Li2). Raman bands corresponding to 67 and 99 cm"-"1
