AbstractAbstract
[en] Under high pressures, Brillouin Scattering technique can be used for obtaining information about elastic and relaxation properties of single crystals and complement other measurements such as X-ray diffraction. Its usage can also be extended to visco-elastic liquids and amorphous materials. With these motivations, an optical arrangement has been made around Sandercock 6 pass tandem Fabry-Perot interferometer using single longitudinal mode diode pumped solid state (SLM-DPSS) laser (532 nm). At this setup, one can perform high pressure Brillouin scattering measurements in back-scattered as well as in platelet geometry. In this setup, one part of laser beam is directed to platelet path, incident at sample after being focused by lens L1, while another part of beam is directed to back scattering path, incident at the same sample after being focused by lens L2
