AbstractAbstract
[en] Controlled nuclear fusion can be one of the most interesting for large-scale electric power generation. This is due to your environmental impact and the existence of almost unlimited gas. The progress achieved at the international level in both methods of confinement, magnetic confinement and inertial confinement, is significant. In the area of magnetic confinement is being developed the multinational ITER project (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) which includes the construction and Operation of an experimental device producing approximately 500 MW of Fusion power and incorporate most of the necessary technological developments For the construction of a commercial reactor. In the inertial confinement area, the Recent results obtained in the NIF (National Ignition Facility) project have been Encouraging. Our country has achieved very significant achievements in the use of nuclear fission Electricity generation and should not be left out of the development of the Nuclear fusion, which has several comparative advantages. The CNEA, as an Institution Responsible for nuclear activity in the country, must have a comprehensive program of Activities in controlled nuclear fusion. The Nuclear Law currently in force indicates Explicitly the responsibility of the CNEA in the subject (article 2, inc. M). Due to its complexity, the design, construction and operation of a fusion reactor for The production of electricity, with power similar to that of fission reactors, requires scientific and technological developments in many areas. These include, among others, Physics of plasmas, materials, atomic and molecular physics, neutrons, tritium production, control, security and licensing. The CNEA has trained human resources and Experience in many of these issues, mainly from In nuclear fission. What is proposed is to initiate a comprehensive program of activities in Controlled nuclear fusion, which complements nuclear fission activities and takes advantage of The capabilities developed by the CNEA in this area. This program should The CNEA as a national and international reference in the subject for the quality of its Scientific research and the development of innovative solutions. (author)
