[en] Selection of the appropriate modification process and characterization of properties of biosorbents was discussed in previous works. Previous test results of biosorbents confirmed, that the modified sorbent has a high capacity also for real water samples with natural content of ions (K"+, Na"+, Mg"2"+, Ca"2"+, Cl-, NO_3"-, etc.). The presented paper deals with "1"3"7Cs concentrating in waters delivered by VUVH. Concentrating is carried out on a prepared modified biosorbent of wood-destroying fungi (Fomes fomentarius). "1"3"7Cs was measured on HPGe detector, "1"3"7Cs activity was less than the MDA (0.004 Bq · dm"-"3) with the exception of water Sokolianky - Tornyosnemeti (0,005 Bq · dm"-"3). It was found out, that the tested sorbent is suitable for concentrating cesium in waters. (authors)
