[en] We have sought to determine the exact mechanism of oxidation of uranium dioxide at low temperatures, taking into account the specific surface area of the powder; the nature and properties of the tetragonal phases with O/U ratios between 2.3 and 2.4 were studied. Nous avons essaye, en tenant compte de la surface specifique, de preciser le mecanisme d'oxydation a basse temperature de UO2, la nature et les proprietes des phases quadratiques dans le domaine O/U compris entre 2,3 et 2,4. Les resultats confirment raisonnablement le mecanisme de diffusion discontinue propose anterieurement.
