AbstractAbstract
[en] Magnetized target fusion is an alternative approach to fusion, which lies between the conventional inertial confinement fusion and magnetic confinement fusion. In this paper, a two-dimensional magneto-hydrodynamic code MPF-2D is used to study the formation process of field reversed configuration on 'Ying-Guang 1' device, which is constructed by the Institute of Fluid Physics, China Academy of Engineering Physics. The influence of experimental parameters is studied in details, and three groups of experimental input parameters are suggested for the incoming experiment, of which the bias fields are 0.3 T, the initial densities are 7 × 1015 cm-3, the cusp fields are from -1.0 T to -2.0 T and the main fields are from -3.0 T to -4.0 T.
