[en] The works on the creation of magnesium-thermal technology for zirconium are providing in Ukraine. As zirconium is a very active metal, it is during the process of recovery all the impurities in the zirconium tetrachloride and magnesium will pass to zirconium. Therefore, obtaining of pure zirconium tetrachloride and magnesium is necessary. Magnesium is used for the recovery of zirconium tetrachloride, must be pure on the content of interstitial impurities and impurities which have a large cross-section of thermal neutron capture. This work is devoted to refining of magnesium by sublimation and produced of high pure magnesium for recovery of ZrCl₄.
