AbstractAbstract
[en] Single cell and multi-cell SCRF cavities of 1.3 GHz and 650 MHz have been developed by RRCAT under Indian Institutions Fermi Lab collaboration (IIFC). Large number of multi-cell SCRF cavities will be required in the Super Conducting proton Linac of Indian Spallation Neutron Source (ISNS) at RRCAT. SCRF cavity development cycle involves various stages to qualify the cavity for its use in accelerator. Among them field profile and field flatness measurement are two important stages before the characterization of cavity in Vertical Test Stand at cryogenic temperatures. Field profile and field flatness measurement results provide pathway for mechanical tuning of the SCRF cavity to achieve desired accelerating gradient when used. A bead- pull set-up was designed and developed for characterization of multi-cell cavities at room temperature. This paper presents the field profile and field flatness measurement results of the nine-cell 1.3 GHz Nb SCRF cavity and five-cell 650 MHz Nb SCRF cavity. (author)
