AbstractAbstract
[en] Two types of fast Faraday cups (FFCs) are being developed for the Low Energy High Intensity Proton Linac (LEHIPA). One is in coaxial geometry (CFFC) and the other in planar (strip line) geometry (SFFC). These FFCs with appropriate broadband amplifier and a sampling oscilloscope can provide a direct view of the time structure of the beam bunches as well as the beam current. Both the FFC designs are water cooled. A 90-degree bend geometry compact design has been adopted for the CFFC. The electromagnetic design, construction and scattering parameter measurement results will be presented. (author)
