AbstractAbstract
[en] The accelerating magnetic field of the K500 superconducting cyclotron at VECC is produced by two superconducting main coils, the iron core and fourteen numbers of trim coils. Recently it is found that few trim coils are not in operational condition. So beam tuning is bound to be done with less number of trim coils. In this paper the beam dynamics behavior has been explored considering all the trim coils to be operational as well as without the faulty trim coils for few ions. The study gives the idea whether it is essential to replace the faulty trim coils. (author)
