[en] Full text: In oncology, different studies have been confirmed the usefulness of using dendrimers, polymeric micelles, nanoparticles ceramics, magnetic nanoparticles, gold nanoparticles, among others [1], to the cancer treatment. The combination of these systems is quite directed to biomolecules, especially proteins [2], making the cancer therapy more significant, since the drug delivery is targeted only to the tumor cells [3]. We show that the bioconjugation of transferrin to the coordination polymer, followed by the incorporation of fluorouracil, may make cancer treatment more intelligently. It is important to note that the coordination polymer synthesis was performed by hydrothermal and solvothermal synthesis. However, both the synthesis and the bioconjugates were characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, confocal microscopy, TGA, photoluminescence, and x-ray diffraction techniques. Thus, using the MTT method we observed that ZnBDCTfFlu exhibited a significant cytotoxicity to the front-A549 cells (human cells are adenocarcinomic alveolar basal epithelial cells).
