AbstractAbstract
[en] This work aims to verify the mechanical behavior of mortars made with scheelite residues in total replacement to the conventional aggregate in wet curing. The physical and chemical characterization of the scheelite mining residues was carried out using the following techniques: granulometric analysis by sieving; determination of the unit mass; determination of the fineness and powder modulus and X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (FRX). The mechanical behavior of the mortars studied was evaluated by the results obtained in the test of simple compression resistance to that occurred following the indications by the norm of ABNT NBR 7215. The results showed that for the 28 days of cure the mortars made with residues of the mining of the scheelite in wet curing obtained values for simple compressive strength and these values were within the limits established by standard coatings for mortars.
