AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper presents basic knowledge in discussing the use and mechanism of passive type personal dosimeters. It briefly introduces the classification of radiations as the measurement target and the concept of dose. It also overviews (1) aspect of the interaction between radiation and materials, (2) dynamics of ionization and excited states caused by the interaction, and (3) concept that are essential for especially personal dosimeters in relation to (1) and (2).
