[en] Full text: In this study, CaMoO4 and CaMoO4 doped xEu3+ (x=1%, 2% and 4% mol) nanocrystals were prepared by a spray pyrolysis method at 600ºC and 1000ºC. The samples were characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), Raman and photoluminescence spectroscopy. XRD patterns indicate that these crystals have a scheelite-type tetragonal structure. The morphology of the CaMoO4: Eu3+ nanocrystals were investigated by the FE-SEM results and it was observed the formation of spherical particles, which is peculiar morphology promoted by the synthesis method used. CaMoO4 pure samples shown a photoluminescence behavior with a broadband type with emission in white light according to the calculated values of the CIE coordinates, 600ºC (x: 0.27, y: 0.35) and 1000ºC (x: 0.37, y: 0.37). The emission intensity in the red for samples doped with Eu3+ (5D0 → 7F2 in 615 nm) increases directly with the dopant concentration. (author)
