AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper, we report the effect of thermal radiation on convective flow of an electrically conducting nanofluid over a semi-infinite stretching sheet in the presence of the porous medium. The mass transfer phenomenon is also introduced in the present Koo and Kleinstreuer-Li (KKL) nanofluid model. Using suitable scaling transformation, the governing dimensional equations of momentum, thermal energy, and nanoparticle concentration are transformed to ordinary and solved analytically using Kummer’s function method a hypergeometric function. The effects of pertinent parameters are obtained and presented through graphs. However, the numerical computation of physical quantities is also obtained and displayed via Tables. The validation of present results is obtained and found to be in good agreement with that of earlier published results. It is evident that due to higher values Eckert number decreases the nanofluid temperature. Whereas heat generation enhances the temperature of the nanofluid and absorption parameter decreases it significantly.
