AbstractAbstract
[en] In an interview, the EDF Delegate for industrial quality comments the elaboration and implementation of the Excell plan, the EDF plan for excellence in the nuclear sector. He evokes the implemented organisation and the plan objectives, outlines the importance of a quick change, evokes the five keywords associated with the plan (governance, expertise, manufacturing, supply chain, and standardization), and discusses their content and meaning, as well as related implemented actions and already noticed advances. The 25 associated commitments are indicated. They are associated with governance, sector expertise, a result-oriented partnership relationship with suppliers, quality and safety strengthened by standardization and replication, and a specific 'welding plan' intended to accompany formation and qualification of welders in the nuclear industry. A press communique is provided which summarises these issues.
