AbstractAbstract
[en] This publication outlines that the production and use of renewable heat is a strong lever to decarbonize the French heat production, notably as heat is nearly representing the half of the national energy demand. It also outlines the numerous benefits of renewable heat for territories and their inhabitants. It indicates the numerous resources (geothermal energy, wood energy, waste valorisation, renewable gas, recovery of unavoidable heat, thermal solar energy) and the various individual and collective usages. It also gives an overview of tools and arrangements which can support actions of development: support to investment for communities (the Heat Fund, Air Wood funds), and other financial and administrative tools (reduced VAT, the Climate Energy Contribution, European funds, aids for districts and regions, thermal regulation for buildings)
