AbstractAbstract
[en] Published by a professional body of the hydrogen sector, this paper first briefly presents the situation of world competition in the hydrogen sector, and then outlines that France already possesses a complete and ambitious value chain, thanks to the existence of large world leader groups, to a rich industrial tissue, and to a high quality academic and technological research. It also outlines that France, in a context of necessary reduction of emissions, is able to create a competitive renewable and low-carbon hydrogen sector with capacities in the various concerned activities, notably the electrification of hydrogen production by water electrolysis. Then, the authors highlight that it is necessary to invest right now to be on time on markets and to create value in France, first by developing a domestic market. Thus a road-map is emerging with territories which are committed beside industrials to promote massification, with French industrials who are ready to massively invest. This requires support on the both demand and offer sides. An appendix indicates actors of the different parts of the value chain in France
