[en] After having outlined the necessity of investments for the development of the French hydrogen sector, and also outlined environmental benefits related to such a development, this publication formulates twelve recommendations as conditions for a successful and ambitious national plan. These recommendations are related to a necessary support to demand to initiate the market, a support to hydrogen production, a support to hydrogen infrastructures, a support to the development of a French technological offer, and the implementation of a governance for the sector. Then, hydrogen is presented as a keystone of energy transition in France and in Europe. The authors outline that France can reap the benefits of a quick and massive investment as technologies are ready and scale upgrading can be launched, as France possesses remarkable assets to become a hydrogen leader, and as a 1 million ton market will be accessible by 2030 in France. Conditions for a successful ambitious and consistent national plan are finally highlighted
