[en] This report describes the status of work being performed in the Spent Fuel Treatment Development (SFTD) Subprogram under the ''HTR IMPLEMENTING AGREEMENT'' for the United States and the Federal Republic of Germany's Umbrella Agreement on Cooperation in GCR Development. Reported work is described in and authorized by the ''Subprogram Plan for Spent Fuel Treatment Development'', Revision 3, October 1981, and is performed under the direction of the Project HTR-Brennstoffkreislauf within the Entwicklungsgemeinschaft HTR and the Consolidated Fuel Reprocessing Program at ORNL. The requirement for and format of this quarterly status report is specified in the ''HTR IMPLEMENTING AGREEMENT''. This report, for the first quarter of 1982, includes the status of work performed during the reporting period January, 1982 through March 31, 1982.
