AbstractAbstract
[en] Antistreptolysin O (ASLO) is an evidence of recent or present infection by group A Streptococcus. The interpretation of ASLO level is very important and it is necessary to monitor the ASLO titers in a week intervals. The spread of bacteria and their toxins into the blood circulation can cause allergic-hyperergic reaction. Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy are among the most frequently held operations in ENT field and in children the most common operations generally. The main surgical goals of adenoidectomy and tonsillectomy: if apnoea is the main symptom, the site of obstruction must be removed and if infection is the problem, the site of infection must be removed. Tonsillectomy techniques can be divided into 2 general categories: extracapsular and intra capsular. (author)
