AbstractAbstract
[en] Manganese oxides are considered to be a natural geochemical barrier for arsenic because of their ability to effectively adsorb and immobilize this environmentally significant contaminant. However, the effect of microbial activity on manganese oxyhydroxides stability via various bio-weathering processes may also affect the arsenic immobilization. Therefore, in this paper we have evaluated fungal contribution to arsenic mobility during manganese oxides biotransformation by common soil fungus Aspergillus niger. (authors)
