AbstractAbstract
[en] Contact angle measurements have been carried out on carbon nanotube-graphene-like hybrid films deposited directly on bulk nickel foil by microwave plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition technique. High value of contact angle depicts the super hydrophobic nature of the film. Bare nickel foil is showing low contact angle with hydrophilic behavior. The hybrid films have also been characterized by Raman spectra, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The contact angle has been found to increase from 57.66º for bare nickel to 128.54º for film. The CNT-graphene-like hybrid coating changes the wetability property by improving morphological hierarchy. (author)
