AbstractAbstract
[en] In the present work, we have synthesize pure ZnO and Y doped ZnO nanostructured thin films on the glass substrate via DC sputtering technique. The Y doped ZnO sensor displays the enhanced and selective sensing properties towards the hydrogen sulphide (H2S) compared to pure ZnO at low concentration (10-500 ppm) limit. The proposed sensor exhibits a considerably high sensing response (Ra/Rg ∼3.0) towards 100 ppm H2S gas with a fast response and recovery time of 24 s and 35 s respectively. Herein, the gas sensing mechanism behind their excellent performance was also studied in detail. (author)
