AbstractAbstract
[en] Rare earth ions Gd3+ and Tb3+ doped Y2O3 fluorescent nanoparticles are synthesized by co-precipitation method. The synthesized nanoparticles are ∼ 10 nm in size. These nanoparticles emit green fluorescence when excited at 274 nm due to Tb3+ doping. Surface modification was done using Polyethylenimine (PEI), which will give amine (-NH2) groups on the surface. These nanoparticles now can be easily immobilized on glass surface for sensing applications. (author)
