AbstractAbstract
[en] Cable ageing management program in Czech Republic started more than 20 years ago. At present has been fully implemented with a lot of activities, requirements and needs. CAMP includes cable scoping, identifying aging stressors by material type, selection of condition monitoring methods for the aging stressors and their-related failure mechanisms, evaluation criteria, and methods to determine cable condition relative to new. It has been developed a cable service life assessment tool that uses actual cable operating environment data (temperature, radiation and humidity) for use in analyzing expected cable life. A condition monitoring program has been implemented that uses periodically harvested cables in known environments. The data collected provides feedback to their aging models. (author)
