AbstractAbstract
[en] Orano transforms nuclear materials so that they can be used to support the development of society, first and foremost in the field of energy. The group offers products and services with high added value throughout the entire nuclear fuel cycle, from raw materials to waste treatment. This safety report was established in accordance with articles L. 125-15 of the French environmental code. It presents, first, the Orano Tricastin industrial site (purpose, site's modifications, regulatory aspects) and the actions for the prevention and limitation of risks (Orano's nuclear safety policy, radiation protection, emergency situations management, control and inspections, transports, skills management, extreme natural risks management, report and prospects). Then, it presents the declared nuclear events of the past year, the facility effluents management and the monitoring of the environment (Orano's environmental policy, effluents management, environment monitoring, report and prospects). Next, the management of radioactive and conventional wastes is addressed as well as the dismantling of some historical installations. The control of other impacts is presented (noise and waste heat pollution, visual and olfactive impacts, road and rail traffic impacts, dusts, lighting pollution and electromagnetic fields). Finally, the actions of communication and public information made by the direction of the facility are summarized. The consolidated figures are summarized in the report and detailed for each activity in the attached supplement (workers protection and radioprotection, training, greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, liquid effluents and dosimetry, radioactive and conventional wastes inventory, emergency drills, safety events and prevention, transports data). A recall of Orano's 2017-2020 safety-environment policy, a glossary, and the recommendations from the Committees for health, safety and working conditions are given in appendix
