AbstractAbstract
[en] Orano transforms nuclear materials so that they can be used to support the development of society, first and foremost in the field of energy. The group offers products and services with high added value throughout the entire nuclear fuel cycle, from raw materials to waste treatment. This safety report was established in accordance with articles L. 125-15 of the French environmental code. It presents, first, the Orano Cycle la Hague facility and the actions for the prevention and limitation of risks: radioactivity as a natural phenomenon, nuclear safety, defense-in-depth concept, controls and inspections carried out during the year, professional emergency teams, radiation protection of the personnel, emergencies management, transports management, skills development. Then, it presents the declared nuclear events of the year, the management of the facility effluents and the monitoring of the environment: nuclear facilities subject to discharge authorization, gaseous effluents, liquid effluents, environmental impacts abatement, impacts on the environment and the population. Next, it treats of the management of radioactive and conventional wastes produced by the facility, and of the control of other impacts. Finally, the actions of communication and public information made by the direction of the facility are summarized. A recall of the 2017-2020 safety-environment policy, a glossary, and the recommendations from the Committees for health, safety and working conditions are given in appendix
