AbstractAbstract
[en] After a definition of wood energy with an overview of the different installations using wood-energy, this publication presents the ambitious national and regional (Ile-de-France) objectives related to the role of wood-energy in energy transition. Then, it discusses stakes related to air quality in the context of a dense urban region (Ile-de-France) as domestic wood-based heating is the main emitter of fine particles, as a rather strict regulation is applied in the residential and industrial sectors, as wood and equipment quality are essential levers to improve air quality, and as this source of energy is to be articulated with other sources which are available on the territory. It also sheds a light on the wood-energy sector: a renewable energy, a sector to valorise at the best forest products, a job-creating sector, a competitive energy in terms of cost for individuals and collectives
