AbstractAbstract
[en] This article reports questions asked during a broadcasted debate by a famous French radio and TV journalist to candidates to the primary election of the French ecologist party for the next presidential election, and also answers made by these candidates, and then an indication of an opinion about these answers (true or false, or sometimes both) and an explanation or a rationale of this positive or negative opinion. The questions notably addressed whether France is able to produce nuclear-free electric power by 2050, the competitive character of nuclear (present cost of electricity, cost of installation upgrading, the Flamanville EPR cost and construction duration), the differences of emissions between nuclear, solar and wind energy, the content of scenarios defined by the IPCC regarding nuclear energy (decrease or continuity), the meaning of energy sobriety and the problem raised by intermittency, the foreseen development of electric power as an energy (with the reduction of fossil energies), the issue of nuclear wastes, the expertise available for nuclear plant dismantling, the issue of job creation by the renewable energy sector
