AbstractAbstract
[en] This reference document aims at proposing comprehensive gas predictions while integrating new assessments and definitions of hypotheses based on consumption and production data available for the past year, and taking new regulations, laws and political instruments into account (their impacts are first overviewed). Evolutions of gas consumption in 2019 and 2020 are commented at the national and regional scales. The methodology adopted for these predictions is then presented (well defined framework, reference to objectives of carbon neutrality by 2050, information sources regarding data related to residential and office buildings, to centralised electric power production and cogeneration, to industry, to mobility, and to the production of renewable gases). Three scenarios complying with carbon neutrality are presented (low gas national, high gas national, territories) and commented, notably in relationship with framework documents. The next part of the report proposes a sector-based synthesis in different parts corresponding to the field of data sources (building, industry, mobility, centralised electric power production and cogeneration) with presentations and comments of data. A chapter addresses the case of renewable gases and low carbon. More detailed analyses are proposed for a multi-sector vision, for the sensitivity of gas consumption to energy efficiency hypotheses, for avoided emissions of greenhouse gases. A general synthesis of the whole document is also provided
