AbstractAbstract
[en] This study was carried out to determine the diagnostic accuracy of image obtained from different cone beam tomography in the evaluation of the presence or absence of bone coverage in anterior teeth. CBCT images were acquired from the maxillary and jaw region of a dry skull in six different devices - Accuitomo (J. Morita, Kyoto, Japan); CS 9000 3D (Carestream Dental, Trophy, Marne La Vallee, France); CS 9300 (Carestream Dental, Trophy, Marne La Vallee, France); Eagle 3D (Dabi Atlante, Oklahoma, USA); i-CAT Classic (Imaging Sciences International, Hatfield, Pensilvânia, EUA) and Orthophos XG 3D (Sirona Dental System, Charlotte, USA). Two radiologists evaluated the images and an orthodontist evaluated the dry skull. The results showed high diagnostic accuracy in the evaluation of bone coverage in CBCT scanners, with a superiority of the CS 9300, which in addition to high accuracy, showed high sensitivity and specificity with less time scanning and less patient exposure to ionizing radiation.
