AbstractAbstract
[en] In this Report the HTMP Draft Programme for 1982 is presented. To introduce the programme a brief overview of the status of the work at the end of 1981 is given to indicate the background to the tasks for 1982, which are listed in Table 1 and detailed in the succeeding sections. In addition to this introduction a survey of the current status of the HTMP Rigs is given with an outline of the operations planned for 1982 (see Table 2). During 1981 the work on corrosion has continued to broaden from the original theme of exposure in reference PNP-Helium. In these latter exposures times of 15000 h have been reached for some specimens and the relatively good behaviour in this environment has been confirmed. However, due to the very severe H2O depletion effects in multi-specimen furnaces above 900°C, it has been found necessary to recognize that in the higher temperature tests the reference PNP conditions could not be met. Following a series of tests in which single specimens were exposed at gas velocities of ~20 m/s, an experimental technique was arrived at in which the H2O depletion could be overcome. Accordingly the programme for 1982 will reflect the need to perform more tests under conditions of high gas velocity.
