AbstractAbstract
[en] A fast-neutron reactor is described whose core is arranged as a number of fuel units each comprising fuel elements washed by a coolant. Part of the fuel units are divided, in the direction of the coolant flow, each into at least two sections. The fuel elements in each section contains a different fuel, the fuel in the section with a lower temperature of the coolant possessing a higher density of heavy nuclei, or a higher density of fissile isotopes.
